Independent Medical Group, LLC (IMG) specializes in the testing, treatment, and management of HIV, Hepatitis C, and Sexually Transmitted Diseases. Co-founders Clifford W. Knights and Steve Vixamar have built a partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to level the playing field for all high-risk Americans; no matter their race, sexual orientation or socio-economic status. IMG offers an array of services that includes healthcare and pharmacy services, case management, and mental health and substance abuse management.
In drafting our business model, we wanted to ensure all of our clinics were equipped with the proper tools and services to provide access to the healthcare services their patients may require. The CDC has entrusted us to partner with pharmacies and organizations nationwide to bring awareness to the health issues and stereotypes facing the underserved and underrepresented communities.
We pride ourselves on being visible and accessible to, not only the pharmacies we serve but also the men and women who do not have access to a pharmacy. Our new mobile unit is fully equipped to show up and provide tests to the underserved communities on the spot. IMG offers the security of healthcare without the typecast associated with being tested.
In response to COVID-19, Independent Medical Group, LLC has expanded its service scope to include COVID-19 testing in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties underserved communities. We have allocated resources to purchase COVID-19 test kits to ensure patients who seek our services will also have access to Coronavirus testing. Our goal is to meet the needs of the Coronavirus pandemic and continue to manage and treat other public health issues. Our trained staff is ready to respond to the outbreak of Coronavirus in our communities. Through our newly outfitted mobile unit and our laboratory partner, IMG will be offering testing services to patients at selected sites throughout the community.
